Course Objective

This Executive Certificate course equips students with the knowledge and practices of contract negotiation in an organisation.

This specialised course comprises TWO modules: a digital module on Contract Negotiation Techniques (CNT) and a Skills Project on contract negotiation.

The CNT module covers key topics on negotiation models, negotiation planning, negotiation strategies, interpersonal negotiation, and contract negotiation techniques. The Skills Project requires students to apply the online knowledge gained on CNT and work on a project for contract negotiation of an organisation.

Course Duration & Frequency

This part-time course can be completed within six weeks, comprising 18 contact hours and about 18 non-contact hours. The course is intensive and requires students to attend class sessions once a week.

Faculty & Mode of Delivery

This course incorporates a blended learning mode, where students will attend classes and undertake online learning through pre-recorded videos. Our faculty comprises highly experienced practitioners with post-graduate academic and professional qualifications.

The delivery mode for CNT module is online learning. The Skills Project module is facilitated through class sessions and conducted in phases where students are guided to work on an approved project until completion. Students are expected to make use of relevant websites for the purposes of learning and working on the project.

Admission Criteria

An applicant must be at least 21 years old, and have at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Those who do not meet the criteria but have at least 3 years of work experience can be considered on a case-by-case basis subject to review by the Academic Board.
