For Corporate Membership

Enterprise Membership

Multinational conglomerates, trade associations & chambers, professional & membership organisations

Premier corporate grade

Enterprise Membership is the Institute’s premier corporate grade, constituted for multinational conglomerates, trade associations and chambers, and professional and membership organisations — organisations whose procurement and supply chain decisions, or whose voice in the profession, carry beyond their own headcount.

It carries the full nine benefits of SIPMM Corporate Membership, with the largest training credit entitlement and the earliest access to the Official Singapore PMI.

Corporate membership fees for both grades are set out in the Corporate Membership brochure. A formal quotation is issued to your organisation on request.

All corporate membership

Eligibility

Who Enterprise Membership is for

  • Multinational conglomerates groups operating across several markets or business units, whose procurement and supply chain decisions carry beyond a single company.
  • Trade associations and chambers bodies that represent an industry or a business community and speak for its members.
  • Professional and membership organisations institutes and membership bodies that set standards, award credentials or convene a profession.

Every corporate application is reviewed by the Institute rather than accepted automatically. If your organisation sits near the boundary between the two grades, write to [email protected] and the Institute will advise before you apply.

Set by grade

What Enterprise Membership carries

S$1,500in training credits

For qualification and executive development programmes — refreshed in full on renewal, for as long as your organisation remains a member.

Tier 1Official Singapore PMI

The monthly PMI reaches your organisation ahead of its scheduled release — the month’s direction for Singapore manufacturing, read before it is public.

These are the two entitlements set by grade. The training credit is the larger of the two available, and because it is refreshed in full on renewal it is a recurring entitlement rather than a joining incentive. It may be applied to any of your staff, and credits left unused at the end of a term are cleared — which is why your Relationship Manager tracks the balance through the term.

Tier 1 access to the Official Singapore PMI is the difference that is hardest to obtain anywhere else. SIPMM compiles the index from the survey responses of purchasing executives and publishes it monthly at a scheduled release time, with sub-indices for new orders, new exports, inventory, imports and employment, and a separate electronics reading. Tier 1 puts that in front of your planners, sourcing leads and executive team before the market has it — a working advantage on capacity commitments, supplier negotiations and forward planning, and for a trade association or chamber, the ability to brief members on the month’s direction rather than react to it.

Enterprise Membership compared

Both grades of Corporate Membership carry the same nine benefits, and seven of them are identical. Institutional and Enterprise differ in two: the training credits your organisation receives, and its tier of access to the Official Singapore PMI. Everything else — the designated Relationship Manager, the privilege rates, the Talent Pool, the publications, the annual conference, the private community and the Trade Association Hub facilities — is the same at both grades.

Choose the grade that reflects your organisation’s constitution, its role in the profession, and the level of investment it is prepared to make.

If your requirement is team capability

Enterprise is not simply a larger version of the other grade. If your organisation’s aim is to build procurement, logistics and supply chain capability within its own teams — qualifying staff, running cohorts, hiring from an assessed pool — then Institutional Membership is constituted for exactly that, and will serve you well. The seven shared benefits are identical at both grades.

Standing

Standing beyond entitlements

An entitlement list is not the whole of what this grade is. Enterprise Membership places your organisation in the senior corporate constituency of Singapore’s professional body for logistics, procurement and supply chain — among the conglomerates, associations and membership bodies whose scale and remit shape how the profession is practised here and across the region.

That standing reads outward. To partners and clients it says the organisation holds itself to the standards of the profession it operates in, and not only to its own. To the professionals it wants to attract, it says procurement and supply chain are treated as a career here, supported by an institute rather than by an internal training line. And to peers, it says the organisation has chosen to invest in the profession as a whole, at the grade the Institute constitutes for organisations of its kind — a commitment that is visible precisely because it goes beyond what any single team consumes.

It is the grade constituted for organisations of the same order as the senior leaders who sit on the Institute’s Industry Advisory Board, which sets strategic direction for companies facing global macroeconomic and geopolitical risk. None of that is a formal entitlement, and it is not offered as one — it is the standing that follows from being counted in that group.

Applying

How to apply

  1. 1
    Submit the application

Complete the corporate membership application, selecting Enterprise Membership.

  2. 2
    What you will need

Your organisation’s registration particulars — UEN for a company, or registration and constitution documents for a trade association, chamber or membership body — and a named contact the Institute and your Relationship Manager can work with.

  3. 3
    Review and confirmation

Every corporate application is reviewed by the Institute before membership is confirmed. Your named contact is notified of the outcome and, on approval, of the fee due.

  4. 4
    Membership begins

Your designated Relationship Manager makes contact, the training credit of S$1,500 is made available for the term, and privilege rates and PMI access apply from that point. Every term ends on 31 December — an organisation joining from July is covered to 31 December of the following year.

Questions about Enterprise Membership

Which organisations qualify for Enterprise Membership?
The grade is constituted for multinational conglomerates, trade associations and chambers, and professional and membership organisations. It is a question of what the organisation is and the role it plays in the profession, not of headcount or turnover. If your organisation sits near the boundary, write to [email protected] and the Institute will advise before you apply.
What does Tier 1 access to the PMI actually mean?
The Official Singapore PMI is released monthly at a scheduled time, published at pmi.sipmm.edu.sg. Tier 1 provides access ahead of that scheduled release; Tier 2, which Institutional Membership carries, provides access from it. Both receive the same monthly bulletin.
Are the training credits used or lost?
They are there to be applied to qualification and Executive Education enrolments, for any of your staff, and they are refreshed in full on renewal. Credits left unused at the end of a term are cleared and do not carry forward, so your designated Relationship Manager tracks the balance through the term and raises unused credits with your named contact before the term ends.
How many staff does the membership cover?
One corporate membership covers the organisation regardless of headcount, and the training credits may be applied to any of your staff.
Where is the fee?
The admission and membership fees for both grades are set out in the Corporate Membership brochure. A formal quotation is issued on request, and the fee due is confirmed in writing when an application is approved.
