Graduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management

Course Objective

The Graduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management Qualification equips learners with essential knowledge and operational strategies of both upstream and downstream functions in procurement and supply chain management at a leadership level in a contemporary organisation.

This specialised course comprises 5 modules: one taught module of Procurement Strategy (PS); one taught module of Supply Chain Strategy (SCS); two modules of Digital Learning (DL) on Transportation for Integrated Logistics and Effective Supply Chain Practices; and one module of Management Project (MP) that requires students to undertake a digital research on new and emerging trends in the global markets, where such developments can have an impact on the supply chain management of an organisation.

Delivery and Assessment

Our faculty comprises highly experienced practitioners with the requisite academic and professional qualifications.

The Digital Learning module provides flexibility for students to learn at their own pace, and after completing the learning videos they will take an online examination.

The Management Project module requires students to attend regular class sessions so that they can be closely guided to complete the project requirements. In this module, students are assessed on two assignments and a short presentation.

In the taught modules, students will sit for an examination at the end of the module. Students are also expected to search relevant websites for the purposes of learning and research.

Course Duration and Frequency

This course can be completed within 6 months. The procurement and supply chain management course is scheduled to commence in the months of January, April, July and October, but this may subject to changes. Please check with the institute on the actual date of commencement.

The lecture timings for the part-time classes are shown in the table below:

Time : Weekdays evening 7pm to 10pm
Frequency : 1 to 2 times per week
Venue : Trade Association Hub (TA Hub)

Admission Requirements

An applicant must be at least 25 years old, have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, have an English Language Proficiency of at least Grade C6 at GCE “O” level or equivalent, and have a qualification not lower than a Bachelor degree recognised by SIPMM. Those with SIPMM Diploma can be considered. Applicants are advised that this is a leadership level course, and the stated criteria are consideration for admission approval. All applications are subject to approval by the Academic Board.

Academic Award

Students must pass all modules to complete the course successfully and to be awarded the Graduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management (GDPSCM). When a student receives a minimum score of 80% for the digital module examination, the student will also receive a digital Certificate of Competency for the specific topic.
