Good afternoon,
My name is Paula Mae Jarina, and it is a great honour to stand before you on behalf of the Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management graduates.
As I look back on this journey, one verse comes to mind – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This has been my anchor throughout the course.
Because truthfully, it wasn’t always easy. Many of us balanced work, studies, and personal life all at once. Weekends turned into study days filled with assignments, revisions, and tight deadlines. There were long nights trying to meet weekly projects – and moments when we asked ourselves if we could still go on. But by God’s strength, we made it here today.
To our families and friends – thank you for your patience, love, and support through every late night and stressful week. You made this possible.
To our instructors and mentors, especially Mr. Alex Loo and Nick Lai, thank you for your guidance, wisdom, and passion. You’ve not only taught us valuable skills but also inspired us to lead with integrity and excellence.
And a special mention to Professor Poh – your colorful grading system really kept us on our toes! At first, reaching color green felt like the goal… until I realized, wait – there’s maroon! You challenged us to aim higher each time and somehow made colors both motivating and a little stressful. Thank you for pushing us beyond what we thought we could achieve.
To my classmates – congratulations! From reminding each other, “Have you submitted the project?” or “Did you answer the online exam?” – to cheering one another through last-minute submissions and tight deadlines – we’ve come a long way together. We shared not just deadlines, but determination, not just stress, but strength.
As we step forward, may we remember: our journey doesn’t stop here – it only changes direction. Our abilities may have limits, but our possibilities are limitless when we stay hungry to learn, humble to grow, and hopeful for what’s ahead. Let’s continue to raise the bar, lead with integrity, and make every challenge our next breakthrough.
After all, we didn’t just survive the course – we conquered it.
Congratulations, Class of 2025 – we made it!
To God be all the glory.
Thank you.
