Good afternoon,
It is a great honour to stand before you today. My name is Mohammad Amli Bin Abdul Hamid, and I am proud to represent the class of Diploma in Logistics and Supply Management.
First and foremost, congratulations to all graduates on reaching this significant milestone in our lives! This occasion is filled with pride and accomplishment. As I reflect on our journey, I am reminded of the challenges and triumphs that have brought us here. Returning to school after 20 years was no small feat. It took courage, determination, and an unwavering belief in my ability to adapt. I still vividly remember the mix of excitement and anxiety on my first day back in the classroom.
Our journey has not been without difficulties. Balancing studies with personal responsibilities often felt overwhelming. There were moments of self-doubt when I questioned my ability to complete the course. Yet, each challenge fuelled my determination to succeed. Embracing discomfort pushed me beyond my limits and helped me discover my resilience.
Today, as I hold this diploma, I think of the countless hours spent studying and collaborating with classmates. This diploma represents far more than just a piece of paper; it embodies late nights, sacrifices, and the unyielding spirit within each of us.
However, our journey doesn’t end here. I am hopeful that the skills and knowledge I’ve gained will open new doors. I stand here not just as a graduate but as someone eager to contribute to the workforce. To anyone in this room who may be looking to hire, I bring not only my education in logistics and supply management but also a wealth of life experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous learning. I welcome the opportunity to connect and explore potential opportunities.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Alex Loo and Mr. David Tan, our esteemed lecturers for the Warehouse and Logistics Management modules. Your invaluable feedback and guidance have significantly deepened our understanding of the subject matter. Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to our learning.
A special thanks to our Project Facilitator, Professor Philip Poh, for mentoring me and creating an enriching learning environment throughout our research project. Your insightful guidance has been invaluable, and I am truly grateful for your support.
I would also like to thank my course mates from the same Diploma intake. Your support and teamwork throughout this assignment have been crucial. I appreciate how we shared our creative ideas, combining our differing perspectives to create a cohesive and enjoyable experience. Thank you all for being such a wonderful group!
Finally, I extend my heartfelt thanks to my wife, my family and the loved ones of my fellow graduates. Your encouragement and support have meant the world to us. You stood by us during late nights and stressful moments, offering understanding and patience. Your belief in us has inspired our journey, and we are truly grateful. We couldn’t have achieved this without you.
In closing, I’d like to leave you with the words of Sir Winston Churchill: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” What we accomplish today is a testament to our strength. The journey does not end here. Let’s keep striving for the best!
Congratulations to the graduating class of 2024! Let’s go out there and make our mark. Thank you.
